Where past, present and future meet

A Rich History and a Continuing Story
Settled in 1794 by entrepreneurs William Merrick and Roger Stevens, Merrickville grew into a thriving milling and trading hub as the Rideau Canal was completed in 1832. In 1998, the village of Merrickville and the surrounding Wolford Township united to form Merrickville-Wolford, blending small-town charm with rural countryside.
